A new strain of ransomware called RAA is using JavaScript, not executable files to sequester your data.

According to a recent article by the BBC, this new strain can be unleashed on Windows computers with just one click.

In the article, experts recommend—as a defensive measure—ensuring that your anti-virus blocks .js files and if your data ever is taken by RAA, your best bet is to have a data backup to restore from.
